Minutes of Business
Meeting Minutes: April 7, 2025
1 The business meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by President Charles
Tucker.
Officers attending: President Charles Tucker, Vice-president Steve Grenot,
Treasurer Bill Little, Secretary Gerald Russo. Members: Garrett Allison, Bob
Canavello, Banks Edwards, Michael Eells, Chuck Mudford, Jesse Shealy, Sam
and Barbara Shilling.
2. Minutes of the previous meeting of March 2, 2025 were read by Secretary
Gerald
Russo.
A. Corrections to minutes: none
The minutes were moved and accepted.
B. The treasurer’s report was presented by Treasurer Bill Little.
As of this date there is $1,584.14 in the treasury.
3. Announcements:
A. Next Meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on May 5, 2025
B. Next run sessions will be on April 14, 21, 28. April 21 will be an operating
session
at 6 pm.
C. Pensacola RailFest is April 26 and 27 with set top on April 25.
D. The 2025 cars have arrived from Accurail!
4. Old Business
A. Repairs need to be made here in the club house. See separate sheet.
B. Continue work on preparing for Operating sessions- currently installing new
turnouts. (Work is in progress.)
C. 8 new patch tracks have been installed but with many more to go. Each one
took
nearly an hour.
D. The club still has 20 of the 2024 cars yet to be claimed. Please claim and
pay for
them. Those not claimed can be sold at the Train Fest in April.
5. New Business
A. The 2025 cars are for sale to club members for $27.00. Please pay Bill.
B. Sign up for work at RailFest. We need all of you especially to set up and
tear
down. We had a great shortage of teardown help at the Mobile Show. That
cannot happen again!!!! Plan ahead—RailFest has been on our calendar for a
Year”!
C. What needs to be done to finish the track work on the club house layout?
D. Comments from the President:
Use of rental truck to pull trailer, costs involved.
E. Comments by any other members.
Recommend removing members e-mail addresses from Web page.
West Florida Museum swap meet at Milton Depot, if interested send pictures of
personal layouts for use in newsletter.
Remember that there are no rail-joiners at the bridge.
6. Club Welfare
We continue to lift up Steve, Reed, and Rick Simmons’ family.
